Kalimantan has an area of 743,330 square km, and is the third largest island in the world. Uniquely, Kalimantan Island is divided into three state regions, namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Kalimantan Island consists of five provinces, namely South Kalimantan (with the capital city Banjarmasin), West Kalimantan (Pontianak), East Kalimantan (Samarinda), Central Kalimantan (Palangkaraya), and North Kalimantan (Tanjung Selor).

Day 1: Pangkalan Bun – National Park- Boat
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up by our guide and take you to Kumai. Boating up the river to explore the great mangrove, nipah palm and wildlife along the Sekonyer river, lunch will be prepared on the boat. Late afternoon available observe the proboscis monkey and others primates along the river. Dinner and overnight on the boat. (The boat is traditional boat wooden river boat about 14m by 2,5m with a roof where you can see the rain forest). The guide’s team includes the boatmen, cook and good guide. On the boat, we have simple mattres, pillow, mosquito net, meals, mineral water, kichten, toilet. Helpful guides and boatmen.

Day 2: Tanjung Puting-Pondok Tanggui-Camp Leakey-Nipa Area
After early breakfast, boating up to Pondok Tanggui Camp to witness orangutan feeding at 9am. Upon arrival at Pondok Tanggui, we walk to feeding area. After orangutan feeding we can take short trekking in the forest. Then proceed to Camp Leakey about 1,5 – 2 hours boating. After lunch on the boat, you have opportunities to take short trekking or see information center before see orangutan feeding at 14.00 pm.
After visiting Camp Leakey, we boating down slowly to Nipa Palm Area (house of Fireflies). On the way down we still can be observe the monkeys, birds and other animals, and in the evening if good weather we can see the fireflies a long the nipa palm. Dinner and sleep on the boat.

Day 3: Nipah palm – Tanjung Keluang Beach
After early breakfast we boating to Tanjung Keluang beach. A long the river you can see the mangrove forest. Tanjung Keluang is nature park and we have turtle sanctuary. If you lucky you can releas the baby turtle ( if available) and you can relaxing on the beach. In the evening, you can take a night walk to observe the nocturnal animals. And here you can overnight on the boat or camping.

Day 4: Tanjung Keluang Beach – Kumai – Pangkalan Bun
After breakfast boating to kumai and transfer to pangkalan bun airport by car.
